German: Placement test

Who is the test for?
The placement test will only take place in person. From level A2 on, it is compulsory for those students of the first part of a course:
  • who have not previously attended a course at our Language Centre
  • who have not successfully completed the second course module of the preceding course

Important information: Existing online test results before the summer semester of 2024 are no longer valid!

How do I prepare (for the placement test?)
  1. Registration on Moodle.
  2. Read the following information: What is a C-Test?
  3. Watch preparation video.
  4. Take the sample test. 
    Step 1: Language: "Deutsch"
    Step 2: "Starte Demo"

 

What and where will be tested? Winter semester 2024/25 dates

Every Wednesday, 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Computerpool building 26.1-010 

  • Date 1: 11.12.24
  • Date 2: 18.12.24
  • Date 3: 8.1.25
  • Date 4: 15.1.25

Please note:

    • Bring your student ID or enrolment certificate with you.
    • Have your OVGU account (user name and password) ready.
    • You may not take the placement test without preparation.
    • The test takes about 45 minutes.
    • It is not necessary to register for the test.
    • Last admission ist 45 minutes before the end of the appointment.
    • Please allow for waiting times.
