Requirements
- Students who demonstrate extensive grammatical confidence and are able to express themselves confidently in daily communication situations: a successfully passed the B2 level German examination, or approximately 600 hours of teaching.
Schedule
- The C1 level course comprises two modules: C1.1 and C1.2. Each module consists of four hours of teaching per week (4SWS).
- The second module can only be attended upon successful completion of the first module.
- Course content: e.g., democracy and the political landscape in Germany, wokeness vs. conservatism, migration, climate change, the energy transition, and industry; gender equality
- Academic language structures: e.g., variation in attributes; use of compound nouns; nominal and verbal styles; restating claims; ways of reporting speech; descriptions using modal verbs; causal, modal, conditional, final, and consecutive expressions
